The Pre-OBD II is recommended for early vehicles or those manufactured in 1995 or earlier which are equipped with 2-way to 3-way air injection converters. We recommend the OBD II catalytic converters for newer vehicles or manufactured after 1995. You may need the Grade OBD II catalytic converter if your vehicle is registered outside of the state of California. To confirm the exact configuration that you need, we suggest that you look for the VECI or the Vehicle Emissions Control Information label which you can find in the engine compartment. Look for ‘California’ on the label.
